As a Project Engineer (M/F/X) in the Nuclear Pressure Equipment team, you will work within the Energy & Process Industries (EPI) Business Unit. Monitoring/supervision (checking conformity with standards and regulations) of non-destructive testing activities performed on pressure equipment, mainly in the nuclear sector, in Belgium and internationally (nuclear power plants, manufacturing departments, etc.).
This involves :
- validating the inspection procedures presented by non-destructive testing service providers
- verifying the qualifications of non-destructive testing operators working for service providers
- supervising the performance of inspection procedures by service providers
- checking the non-destructive testing reports drawn up by the service providers
- In addition: carrying out regulatory inspections of pressure equipment, both in service and during manufacture, mainly in the nuclear sector.
- Have an engineering degree and/or relevant experience in non-destructive testing.
- Fluent in French and English, Dutch is a plus or you plan to learn it soon.
- Have a qualification level 2 or 3 in ultrasonic testing (TOFD, Phased Array).
- Experience in advanced non-destructive testing (eddy current) and other non-destructive testing methods (radiography, penetrant and magnetic testing etc.) is an asset.
- Familiarity of Belgian nuclear power plants, regulations and technical specifications. If you already have experience in the nuclear sector, this is also a considerable advantage.
- Have excellent analytical skills, are pragmatic and able to manage stressful situations.
- Team-player, customer-oriented and able to communicate openly with your superiors and third parties.
- Traveling abroad regularly for short and medium-term assignments.
