Packaging Specification Specialist

You manage and keep all packaging information up-to-date. In this way, you provide and maintain an up-to-date packaging database for the LLBG organization. This information is used for :

• the technical data sheets of finished products
• customer portals
• Fostplus declaration (by purchase department)
• Monitoring specific packaging KPI
• Contributing to LLBG sustainability report

You review all information and quality-related documentation received from packaging suppliers for accuracy and completeness and request missing information. You ensure the data remains up-to-date at all times.
You approve packaging supplier information according to customer-specific requirements and changing legislation (EU, local, non-EU legislation)
You follow national and international legislations related to packaging, including food contact materials, recycling guidelines and environmental standards. You perform interpretions of the legislation to assess the impact on our products
You centralize all packaging knowledge and customer-specific packaging requirements. You monitor evolutions. You disseminate this knowledge to all relevant stakeholders
You provide correct and up-to-date answers to requests from external customers and providing advice and training to internal stakeholders.
You work closely with the specification specialists and the purchase department
You report to the Specification Manager

Lack of customer support, due to missing packaging knowledge and information within the specification- and purchase teams. Customer portals and -questionnaires cannot be returned to the customer due to lacking information.

Required data for packaging:

• Technical datasheet (in English)
• Declaration of Compliance (DOC)
• GFSI /FSC/PEFC certificates suppliers
• Pictures
• Compliance to Regulations (EU, non-EU, local)

• Proven experience in packaging materials, food or packaging legislation, nutrition, or a related role
• Analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and/or software (MS Office, SAP)
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Knowledge of relevant software applications for managing quality specifications is an asset
• You are fluent in Dutch and have a good knowledge of English.
