What you will do

• Key mission: Help researchers handle their data and documents better, in the spirit of Open Science.
• Lead implementation of information asset catalog into way of working of researchers through project identification, initiation, and management with a focus on funded projects.
• Help researchers onboard their information assets in the data catalog (definitions, datasets, reports, APIs, Machine Learning Models, ...) through workshops, analysis & abstraction, models, visual aids, ...
• Lead the data management plan, implementation and follow-up on projects who need to deliver Data Management Plans
• Inform and assist researchers with completion of their data management plan in the dedicated Data Management Plan tool.
• Identify improvements of the catalog (templates, phrasings, ...) and data management plan tool, escalate issues & problems when necessary.
• Build up and iteratively improve information management supporting material, guidelines, decision trees, around data management (storage, documentation, naming conventions, ...)
• Define ontologies, centralizing definitions & terminology within imec.
• Participate in Flemish Research Data Network events involving data management plans and ontology.
• Build up a network among researchers and project managers to identify opportunities to help them from a data management perspective.

Who you are

• You are familiar with data and documentation.
• You have an interest in data and information management.
• You are interested in or have experience with schematic representation of information, such as business process and data modelling, as well as writing and reviewing documents.
• You have solid analysis and abstraction skills.
• You are able to work on your own, but also as part of a team.
• You can deal with changing processes and can handle a lot of information.
• You are detail-oriented and deliver quality.
• Good knowledge of English and Dutch is required.
• You are driven and solution-oriented.

  De technische eigenschappen van het product bepalen volgens het lastenboek
• Domein: Software-engineering
• Informaticateams informeren of opleiden over de technische aspecten (werking, beveiliging, risico's, ...) of het gebruik van nieuwe informatica- en telecommiddelen
• Technische oplossingen uitwerken
  Configuraties of architectuur voorstellen, evalueren en keuzes voorstellen die zijn aangepast aan de functionele behoeften
• Meewerken aan de testfase en oplevering van ontwikkelde toepassingen
  Documentatie opstellen
• Normen, standaarden, methodes, tools en procedures voor betrouwbaarheid, onderzoek of informaticaproductie bepalen en toepassen (kwaliteit, beveiliging, ...)
