Junior Support Engineer

On our team, you'll help design, develop, deliver, operate, and support solutions through a defined set of services, so that together at TomTom we can better create location technologies for a safer, cleaner, congestion-free world.

  • You will help us provide TomTom employees with the best experience possible.
  • You will be involved in making all of us better every day, see something we can do better, let's involve you in that change!
  • You will help our internal customers via online chat, face-to-face, mail, and support platforms, working from our HQ located in Amsterdam.
  • You will support TomTom employees in daily issues regarding their hardware or software, meeting spaces, and desk spaces, thinking about how we proactively prevent issues from happening to others.
  • You will review failures in the process, in the form of RCA's to improve how we work.
  • Support Microsoft Teams broadcasts and internal events in our offices, and occasionally off-site ranging from team events of 20 people to all-hands broadcasts for the entire company.
  • You will align with the Digital Workplace support team throughout the different regions within the global team to take part in our global strategy.
  • You will be involved in both day-to-day IT operations, and project work.

  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize and handle stressful situations.
  • Solid understanding of Asset Management, and how it enables support
  • Flexible to travel to remote sites as needed.
  • Good Interpersonal, relationship-building, and networking skills.
  • Hands-on experience with IT support.
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware/software troubleshooting.
  • 2+ years of working experience with Microsoft Windows
  • 1+ years of working experience with MacOS
  • 1 year working experience with networking
  • Experience with a directory service
  • Knowledge of Android/iOS
  • Nice to Have1 year of experience with solving issues in meeting rooms and printers
  • 1+ years of working experience with a Linux distribution
  • 1 year experience with Azure Active Directory
  • 1 year experience with MDM platforms
  • 1 year experience managing iOS / Android devices.
  • Cisco CCNA
